Just had my black mollie give birth. I have six fry. I put them in a breeder tank so as not to get eaten. My question is will the mother have more? She is still big and the male dalmation mollie is on her like white on rice!
Is there any special things I should do for the fry? Thanks for your advice.

I would suggest you give them newly hatched brine shrimp, she is very likely to have more as 6 isn't even half the usual amount they have, a molly fish can have between 20 and 200 fry, chances are you will have about 25, hope this helped

Thanks, I thought they had more than just a few. I found another one so now I have 7 fry. I will get some brine shrimp for them. In the meantime, will they eat crushed flake food?

They can eat crushed flakes for the time being , u can just crush the flakes in a ziplock intill it's powder. Then u just add it to a cup and some water to make a paste like warm water will be fine , feed that to UR fry several times a day.
