New to breeding

What all is needed to breed?

What type of fish do you want to breed? Really all that is necessary is a compatible group of mature individuals, the space to keep them, clean water, a grow out and/or fry tank, and foods small enough for the fry. Depending on species...

I'm looking to breed blue gill

I've got very little experience with native fish, but I think the basics would hold true. Temperature control may be one of your larger concerns along with the probable need for live fry foods. What size tank / pond are you going to be working with?

I've got a 20 gal for fry and a 100 gal already holding several bluegill a catfish and a peacock eel
