I have 2 different pairs of cichlids and they are pretty small and i've only had them for 2 or 3 weeks, is there any age or time where they will breed this small and young?

How small are they? Are you referring to the Jewls and fliers? What size tank are they in? Are you sure you have 1 M and 1 F of each?

right now their sex is undetermined. the fliers (or dempsys i can't tell) are only about 1.5 inches. and the jewels are 2 inches, the jewels are changing colors with some red on their fins as well as some black. one is changing more than the other if that will help determine the sex. also they are in a 10 gal but i'll have a new tank come end of september

If they are dempsys, you'll definately need a 50 gal + tank. They are not going to breed unless you definately have males and females in a larger tank.
