new to this site some questions

Some questions not sure if in right place to ask but have 4 Dalmatian mollies in 20gallon tank and have some black some white and currently have 19 fry in a floating hatchery
in the tank without the mom in it. Am I on the right track or no

Well separating the fry was definitely a good idea, the mom and any other fish would definitely eat them
