orange chromide care and breeding

hello fish people,
i have started this tread to begin an account of the care and breeding of the orange chromide, they are the golden strain and are a brackish chiclid from India and sri Lanka.
i am keeping the temperature at 75 ferinhight,
the ph at 7.5 to 8.5,
and the saltiness is at about 1.006, my target range is .004 to .0012 i will be keeping it on the lower side so i can raise it to spark breeding.
i picked up 6 this evening, they are about 1.5 inches now and in a 10 gallon they will be moving to a 30 gallon at the end of may. this is a learning experiance for me and you so i will be sharing all i know about these, and feel free to share to.

i will post pics soon.

Good luck with this project. I always wanted to do Chromides myself but never got around to it. Will be following your adventure for sure.

You may have to feed it to them a few times before they start liking it.

Has your filter been cycled before putting the tank together? Cycled water by cycled filter makes a difference.
