Peacock Gudgeons

All right, so my mom got a male and female pair of peacock gudgeons last week and they tend to disappear... Wouldn't see the male, especially, for days.

Well, I found exactly where he went. There's a rock with moss in our tank and the male had burrowed in under it. With him was a moderate mass of eggs. I assume he was guarding the nest as he was very disturbed when I upturned the rock to find him.

I assume that when the eggs hatch, the little gudgeons will all be eaten by the male?
