I have the following mats

Marineland® Springiri & Boxwood Plant Mats - Decorations - Fish - PetSmart

I am expecting molly fry, should I let both float to save fry or sink one and float one? This molly is my smaller female and I'm not sure what she will do. I managed to save fry from the bigger female, but I can't seem to figure out when she is dropping them? Once I see babies hiding I'll move them, I have a nursery tank with 3 fry, its a 3 gal which they will grow out in. I just need cover till I see them and scoop them. Any suggestion?

I would say float one i a corner ( tie it or something) then sink the other in the same corner so she can see how it provides cover. Though she may not use it, it will help with the fry hiding in the corner so they only have to worry about two sides
