So I have one male platy and four female platy I dont see him trying to mate with the other females other then the one he looks like will he ever try with the other females?

Well, this is interesting. I have the same case with mine. Sometimes males will only breed with one female . So it's not unusual .

I had 3 F to 1 M and the male shows zero interest in them this way which I was surprised by.
1 platy, perhaps a second, are already pregnant. They came this way from the petstore. He seems to like hanging out with the very pregnant one. She looks like she could drop very soon though I'm not sure, her behavior hasn't changed but he seems to stick rather close to her. No hassling but hanging out.
