Platy only had 2 fry?

Is it weird that my platy only had 2 fry? I didn't see the platy in the act of laying the fry, they were in my tank the next day, and I only found 2. I don't think my fish ate any because I only have 2 zebra danios, 6 platys and a cory catfish and they are well fed.

Very possible that your fish ate the fry.

It's possible that other fry were eaten, but also possible they're hiding. Is your tank heavily planted in places? They're darned good at that.

Also, I don't think platys release as many fry as guppies when giving birth, so your fish may have just had a small litter.
