I have a scissortail tetra that has a rather large lump in her stomach area. I know they are egg layers so that is what I am asking. Is it eggs or something else? How to I take care of the eggs if they are eggs? Answer quick, it's getting bigger. Also is it that I am maybe over feeding it? I give it one small pinch of flakes and crunched up gammarus and only on occasion I swap those two for frozen brine shrimp.

P.S. I do not normally hold my fish and this was an extremely brief moment that I did

How many do you have and do you have males ? Check your parameters as well too make sure tank is normal .

Everything is within the normal range. I have two other scissortail tetras but I have no idea if the are male or female
