Hi! I have a 20G freshwater community tank and I just noticed that my platy is looking kind of big. She also has what appears to be a gravid spot that is curving around the back of her belly. Can anyone look at my pics and give their opinion?
Thanks!

Yes shes very pregnant and she will be having babys soon if u want to keep the babies you need to put her in a breeder net and take her out as soon as shes done i would use the mesh breeders box bc it doesnt seperate the babies from her ! Good luck ?

Thanks for your quick reply :) I have a guppy that gave birth to some fry recently and I put her in the breeder box. It only ended up stressing her out and killing her the next day. I ended up just scooping out the fry from the main tank after they were born and then placing them in the breeder box to keep them from the male.

Any thoughts on platys getting stressed in breeder boxes?
