Question about peppered cories.

I bought a peppered cory at LFS that was obviously full of eggs. This Cory is HUGE. Ever since I put it in the tank one of my cories has went straight to it and hasn't left it at all. I know cories lay eggs, is it possible that since I just bought just the female that a male has already paired, not sure if cories even pair up, with the female this quickly?

How old are the males? It seems as though the females gravid, condition them for a few days then do a large water change 40%? Refill with cooler water. You might see some spawning take place. I recently found a little panda fry! They're so cute!
