Nearly as I can make out, so long as you have both sexes, the main thing is enough food, temps that are not too cold, plenty of calcium in the water and food and a substrate they like.

Some of the ones that dig seem to prefer a sandier substrate, but my Yellow Poso's dug with great enthusiasm in pretty coarse gravel. It depends on each species just what they like best.

Well basically, I don't have anything specific on that. They are kept very basic overhere. Just a small tank with substrate and gravel and a small filter. Nothing more, nothing less. I had put them in a plain tank (so, without any gravel or substrate) before for a longer time an no offspring occured. Only after I'd put substrate and gravel in there, they reproduced themselves. And I've got offspring ever since... I've got these about 5 years now... So, no specific do's or don't to add to this topic.

Ok thank you so much for the help
