sailfin + balloon molly?
I have several mollys. My two males are both sailfins, and then I have three sphenops(?) mollys, one very stout balloon molly, two female gold dust mollys (I think), and one other orange female. Can my males mate with any and all of these fish? The sailfins are probably about three times the size of the balloon molly.
Also, I have a net breeder. When do you put a pregnant fish in the breeder? How long can/should she stay in there?

All Mollies can mate with all Mollies. It's just more difficult with the awkward shaped balloon Mollies.

You can put a molly into a breeder net when her gravid spot becomes prominent and her back end squares off. Keep in mind that some mollies will be more stressed in a breeder net and may not allow themselves to give birth. Keep an eye out for stress and remove the mother if necessary.
