Hi guys,

Just wanted some advice on sexing Neon/Electric Blue's.

I already have a pair of German Blue's which are easy to sex pretty early on but I'm not to sure about these. I picked these up today. They're in QT they look a bit stressed because I just turned the light on and stuck a camera in there face but there're fine.

One of these is smaller but they doesn't necessarily mean different sex. It may just be younger. Any obvious signs on theses guys??? I know with the Germans I've got the black dot, the pink belly and the Mohawk but, not to sure about these.

Cheers

J

Hard to say, the upper fin at the front is usually longer in the males - look like two males to me.

lol yeah, actually it's pulled back a little in that shot but the smaller fish has a significantly larger spike at the front but the other has the longer pelvic fins characteristic of the male on my GBR's so who knows? I guess i'll wait till they grow a bit more.
