Tiger barbs mating or fighting?

I have 7 tiger barbs and 2 of them are splitting from the school and hitting their heads together and spinning around. Are they mating? And they are chasing each other around really fast.

Sounds like they are fighting to establish whom the alpha male is. I would keep an eye on them as they can fight until one of them is severely hurt.

I had the same thing happen. They would bump heads and chase eachother until they sorted out who was the alpha. The fighting will slowly start to stop in 5 days or so.
