unwanted pregnant fish

hi,
i have a problem. i unknowingly purchased a male and female sunset wag platy. now she has become pregnant. i do not want the babbies, but i do want the mother. any suggestions?

What else do you have in the tank? Most likely, if you don't separate the fry from adults they will become fish food.

i have 2 hi-fi tetras, 2 shubunkins, and 2 long fin tetras.

Well i would suggest getting a fish that has a good taste for molly fry (angelfish) but your tank is too small. So i would say getting rid of the male or female would be the best option.

just let them be most will become snacks. the female will keep popping out babies for 2-3 times even if you got rid of the male. with a male and female in the tank you will always have babies. its what they do.
