Why is my Harlequin Resboras being territorial?

Recently, i have notice two of my harlequin have been showing signs of a spawning behavior. They swim side by side and they hit one another. ( i search on the internet and they say it is a spawning behavior) Today, one of the two resboras became very territorial towards my other rasboras. It will chase the others away. It seems to be protecting the area that is heavily planted. So, Im wondering is the resboras protecting her eggs? Thank you.
