Had the 2 silver sailfin Molly females about a month and have not once seen the black male Molly chasing / trying to mate with them. He only chases the black female Molly. Do these breeds mix?? Is so why do you think this is happening?
Will black molly (m) and sailfin molly (f) mate?

I don't see why they couldn't, they are both a type of livebearers from the Poecilia family.
That's what I figured but no interest in the female sailfins thus far. it's like they are keeping to their own kind or something. He is now the only male Molly with 3 females available to him. Additionally one of the sailfin females is a bully. She chases and tries to nip all the other mollies. I can understand why the black male Molly doesn't want to mess with that one!
