Will my pair breed or fight?

I have 2 convict cichlids, 1 male 1 female
The male is about 2 times the size of the female,
will the male breed with the female? or will it not?
the male is about 4 inchs
the female is only about 2-3max
But the female has her orange colors does that mean shes ready for breeding?

3 flowerpots.
1 air pump with air wall.
2 convicts
Male - around 4 inch
Female around 2-3
