will these cross breed?

Hi everyone,

Newbie's question. I have a red platty female and a blue platty male, will they cross breed?
Also 3 sailfin mollies (2 males & one female) and a few red swordtails. Will the platties, mollies and swordtails cross breed with each other?

Also I have quite a few neon tetras. How do I know if they are ready to breed and any one with success breeding them? Can you share some insights? Thanks.

If the red female platy breeds with the male blue, it will not be a cross breeding because they are colour variants of the same species. Platys can and do cross with swords. Not so the mollies.
