Aquarium Advice OUTAGE! - Aquarium Advice

As many of you probably know this site was down sometime after 10AM until some point after 4PM. I have been informed from our hosting provider SausageHosting that the problem resulted from a FIRE at the NAC (Network Administration Center) that manages the connection between the server this site runs on and the internet.

Our host performed a backup of our system at 1AM Pacific time today but it appears that no data nor messages that where posted this AM have been lost.

I hope no one was hurt in the fire. Glad to see the site is back up! I can stop cleaning the house now.

As best I can gather there was an equipment failure that set off the fire alarm and then the fire supression system and caused power to be dropped to the building.

From the post on the NAC website it appears the fire department evacuated the building and investigated before allowing staff back into the facility.

All of these events begain around 10:30 this morning. NAC reports everyone is safe.
