beside posts, diamonds, triangles, exclamation marks

ok i think i figured the exclamation marks are for the announcememtns, triangles for stickies. But what does it mean when they are in different shades? Some are darker, some are lighter, some are flashing.

At the bottom of the forums, all the symbols are explained. Any symbol that is highlighted let's you know it's a popular thread and/or has a recent post in it.

Ya I was going to suggest the same thing. At the bottom of the forum list and the bottom of the listing of posts is a legend that shows what each symbol represents. Since each style has its own symbols giving you a run down here for all of the styles would take quite a bit of time so you can reference for the specific style that your using.
