Just some details for those interested.

I was in Baikonur last year working on another launch at the cosmodrome, and while we were there this Soyuz Progress mission launch occurred. We were able to get clearance to one of the VIP viewing areas just 2.5km from the launch site. We were close enough to not only see and hear it, but feel the shockwave from the engines hit us. It was an incredible event, to say the least.
