Having trouble uploading pics

The friendliest place on the web for anyone with an interest in aquariums or fish keeping!
If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
I think Dropbox is a image hosting site similar to Imgur and Photobucket. You setup an account and upload pictures. The sites / services should allow you to copy the URL pointing to a particular picture. When posting a picture to a thread, if using the mobile app, click on the "+" at the top of the screen and select Image Link. Paste the URL in the "Enter Image URL" box and click OK.
Hope this helps.

It means that you have run out of free space for attachments. Unfortunately we don't allow you to delete previous attachments to free up space.
Here is why: We want this site to remain a resource beyond just helping an individual who asks a question. It happens quite often that folks will have the same or similar questions, and can search either through google or here on the site to find an answer. If all the attachments in threads are deleted, it can disrupt the quality and continuity of that information.

There are a few options you have to share images on the forum.

1. Upgrade to a supporting membership. It is only $15.02/year, and gives you a heck of a lot more room for attachment upload.

2. Use your albums area under your profile. You can then link images and have them appear directly inline with your threads.

3. Use a 3rd party service such as photobucket or flickr. You can link images directly from there and they will display inline in your posts.

Ok great thanks for the info

Just an FYI - if it is a one time use, oddball type picture you want to upload, you can upload it to imgur.com and you don't even need to sign up for an account. That is one of the many reasons I always recommend imgur. After you upload it will give you a direct link to the image that you can then post in your thread.

The only downside to uploading without creating an account is if you lose the link to your image it is nearly impossible to find it again and you will have to upload it again.

Im confused where do I ask the questions plz can anyone help thanks

you ask the question, in whatever topic your question it is. for example; if your fish is sick you post it in the unhealthy fish section. if you have questions about plants, you post it in the planted section.
