We had to all but beg for a second entry. I have absoutly no idea why these photo contests are not popular. On other sites smaller than ours there are often more submissions than can be used on a regular basis.

You get your picture up on the mainpage for a month. Also, at the end of the year there each of the monthly winners goes into an overall contest for prizes. I forget what they were last time.
