Locking Lounge threads?

I'm confused. First my DIY Volcanic Vent and Invisible Fence threads get moved here because of skeptism as to their seriousness. I have no choice to but deal with that I guess. Then one of my threads gets locked because some people get off topic in a place that is labled as "TOTAL CHAOS". reefrunner, you're the Administrator here, why aren't you doing, well, whatever an administrator does at a time like this - prevent the people that go "off-topic" from being able to post to the thread. I don't even see why being off-topic matters in a TOTAL CHAOS lounge, but..whatever. Why lock the entire thread?

We do what we do and we dont have to explain why we do it.

I know that sounds a bit like a dictatorship but sometimes we have to step in like this.

IMO your fence thread was locked because there was no more useful information being conved and only further breakdown in order was comming out of it.

Putting some electical device on top of your tank is insane because the water will only surve to amplfy the electrical current.

Fish are EXTREMLY sensitive to electrical current even as low as millivolts. GIving them a jolt at say 19V or what ever those things put out would surly mean death. If not death then such internal damage that the fish could no longer swim correctly.

WE are all serous aquarists and many of us take such extreme posts as an offense to the hobby. There are way to many people in the world that feel fish are some lower form of life and dont deserve proper living conditions.

The thread was locked because of what I outlined above. It will NOT be unlocked and I request we move forward and not discuss such things like invisible fence over your tank again.

Thank you for your understanding.

Because I can't lock part of a thread. This is not up for debate, I said the thread would stay on topic or it would be locked, it didn't stay on topic. While the variety of topics in the lounge may be total chaos, the individual threads should be kept on the topic meant by the original poster. BTW, I am doing what an administrator does, I am protecting my board from people like you that would make a joke of it. This thread is also locked as well as moved to the Site Help/Feedback forum. I suggest you move on.
