moderator emeritus?

what are these? how do they differ from normal mods?

Moderator Emeritus are ex-moderators that have volutarily given up their status as mods, for whatever reason. To honor them for the time they devoted to the the site in the past, we give them a special title.

How do they differ? They are not moderators, they are honorary moderators, as the title suggests

Moderator Emeritus are ex-moderators that have volutarily given up their status as mods, for whatever reason.

Like myself, where for the past 6 months, I have just been so busy that often I am able to visit the board 1-2 times weekly at best, sometimes as little as 2-3 times monthly....and that is a bit too sparsley to be an effective mod....so for now, I am a 'moderator emeritus'.
