Guppies gills have turned red! And one of the guppies has a red patch near the under belly.
Tank is of 35Lts
1 mechanical filter used
Daily 6-8hrs of aeration and filtering and lighting.
3 guupy fries, 3 baby guppies and around 12-15 adult guppies are there. I also have aquatic plants.

I did an immediate 60% water change the day I noticed,
Then next day I cleaned the black gravel bed & stones and changed 50% water again.

Now will do a full water change again, I did add 2tsps of salt dissolved and added Ammonia control stress remover(3-4 drops)
Have added water conditioner (5-6 drops)

I do put 2-3 drops of liquid carbon for the plants.

I request your reply asap as I don't want the guupies to die. Any suggestion I'll be following it up immediately.
Help please!

I haven't checked the ammonia reading. Oh I see. What. Would be the safe dosage of liquid carbon?
I can even stop liquid carbon for few days until the fishes are treated. I read about Mr.blue or methlyne blue, I am planning to treat all the fishes with it. I should buy a heater and an ammonia test kit as well.
I don't have a nitrate test kit either.

sorry no help on the fish issue but I am curious as to what the red plant you have is? It looks like a species of alternanthera but doesn't look to be growing like most alternanthera ive seen.

@goatnad
Yes it's alternenatha reneckie , the white strings are areial roots as I have not put black soil as substrate, it tries to get nutrients Ariel way. It's growing taller buy btw leaves aren't growing. I've bought macro n micro nutrients but due to the current issue I've not yet used. Have to see how does it work after the fishes are healed.
Also anyone, I wanted to know the green plant's name.it initially, the leaves rotted away died and now new ones are coming after its adjusted to the tank environment. Hoping for suggestions to improve the quality of my plants.

I have not been using a bio filter as the tank is small but planning to somehow integrate a bio filter as well. Need suggestions.

ah ok ty. from what i can see of the green plant my first guess would be pogostemon erectus. closer pictures of it would help though to figure out what it actually is.

For now I have used Bacto clear 2 drops, after doing a 75-80% water change.
The plant pics are attached below.
How do I figure out whether it's gill flukes or mites?

I did the above, until I get the mythlene blue

Most times dosing liquid carbon as per instructions is fine - it’s worth a look at though to knock off anything.

I’d test ammonia and ph at least. Ph can be useful is say the water company changes water. Then double check nothing untoward has been added to tank water. That should take care of water chemistry check.

Then onto bacterial / parasites (eg new fish added). Dosing the MB should help them, half dose first time to allow them to adjust.

@Delapool, sure thank you!
Will buy an ammonia and pH test kit.
I guess major water change should reduce the Ammonia and pH level for now.
MB
Should I use 2-3 drops in a seperate bucket/tank
And leave the fishes for 10-15 mins and remove n put it back to the tank? (As per some YouTube video)

I can’t say there unfortunately- I’ve only dosed in tank at as per directions or half dose. I’m not sure on that effect.
