Pictures Always too big!

Hi, I'm trying to upload pictures with some posts and my files are always too big. I then tried to snip the photo and it was still too big. Is there any trick on getting the picture files small enough???? Help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

I've changed the settings on my camera to make the photos less pixels and it seems to work. I can upload usually files up to like 1 meg. But I still have issues so I'd like to see what others have to say.

You can also use programs like infranview or photobucket to change size of pics.

Yep. This is the method I prefer. I can still take pictures at full quality, I just make a copy and re-size it for uploading. Pretty much any basic editing program on your computer will do it.
