Seeking photos for 2007 Aquarium Calendar
Attention all photographers!!!
It is time for Aquarium Advice to seek entries for our upcoming 2007 aquatic calendars. Last year we had two great aquarium calendars for sale that included images from our members. We hope to do the same this year. Our goal is to have these calendars on sale for the 2006 Holiday buying season but to do that we must have all entries to us fairly quickly. We learned from a few mistakes last year so if you contributed an image last year please take note of some changes in what we are asking as far as image size and information as it pertains to each entry. We request a maximum of 2 photos per calendar per member. This means if you have both freshwater and saltwater photos you can submit a maximum of 4 images. If you only have freshwater images than you should only submit 2 images so pick the very best of your images for submission. We will be producing a Freshwater and a Saltwater calendar like last year so there is the potential of having an image of yours in both calendars if you submit both types of images. Since these images are going to be used on a 11” X8.5” calendar we need the images to be as large as possible. Use the information below as guidance when submitting your images. Images smaller than the minimum requiremended size will NOT be considered for inclusion in the clalendar. If your image is larger than the maximum required size please crop the image down to fit within the image size range we are requiring. Photo Requirements: 1) minimum 230 1800 to 3300 X 25502) saved as a level 10 jpg (PhotoShop) or corresponding compression level in other editor. 3) No larger than 4MB 4) accompanied by submitters real name and forum username We will be modifying the image to include a full copyright. We ask the submitted image NOT contain any copyright information on it as we will likely need to do some cropping to have the subject mater of the image fit properly on the calendar pages. After we have done this cropping we will put a copyright notice on the image including your real name as it was submitted to us in the submission and your AA forum username. The copyright will look something like this © Taken by First Name, AA Username. Submissions need to be made by Oct 20th to aacalendar@gmail.com After the 20th the staff will vote on the images to pick the top 12 for each category. We hope to have the calendars on sale Nov 1st.

Slowly but surly we are getting submissions. its NOT to late to submit your images for the calendar. We need a fair number and at this point we are no where close to the 24 minimum submissions we must have to fill out the calendar. We do ask that you keep your images within the specified image and file size limits. Images smaller than the minimum will look bad once they are printed.
