Just a suggestion but...

I have noticed that on alot of other sites, they have "Tank Journal" subforums/forums, which contain photo logs of tanks in progress from beginning to end.

AA has one subforum that is like that, which is called the "Planted Aquascaping" subforum and most of its topics are of tank journals/logs. It would be cool if AA had subforums like those, but instead they could be labeled "Freshwater Tank Journals" and "Saltwater Tank Journals"...both under Freshwater & Brackish General Discussion and Saltwater Reef Aquaria respectively.

The Planted Aquascaping forum was intended to be used as a forum for discussions specific to aquascaping a planted tank. What it may have become is different than its inital purpose.

The Tank Journal idea somewhat goes along the ideas in my mind as the FW and SW showcase forums found here.

FW http://www.aquariumadvice.com/viewforum.php?f=73
SW http://www.aquariumadvice.com/viewforum.php?f=74

The descriptions that are assocated with those forums are "This is a forum for you to showcase your freshwater tank. Show us your tank, show us your equipment and inhabitants and tell us how you do it." in respect to FW and the same for SW except its of course for SW tanks.

Actually, the Planted Aquascaping sub-forum is providing members who have the time and patience (and pics) to show how they went from the beginning to where they are now. It allows others to see all the steps that were taken. Since aquascaping requires a "learning curve", those logs are essential to the forum.

There is nothing preventing someone from posting journals in the other forums AFAIK.
