The Scavenger hunt is ON

What is this? There always seem to be features of this site that people just don’t seem to know about and this scavenger hunt has been setup to help familiarize the members with some of the lesser-known items about Aquarium Advice. We will be giving out prizes for First, Second and third place. The first place prize is a 2006 Aquarium Advice wall calendar. The winner will have their choice between a freshwater calendar or a saltwater calendar. More on the calendars coming in the next few days. Second and third place will win a copy of the book The Ocean at Home: An Illustrated History of the Aquarium By Bernd Brunner. Participants should PM either myself or reefrunner69 with the responses to the scavenger hunt items below. The responses MUST be in the following format. Submissions that do not follow this format will be tossed out.

The responses will be date/time stamped when they are submitted and the first to submit a response that has all the items answered correctly will be our first place winner. The second and third to respond will be our second and third place winners. Everyone should tripple check their answers before submitting. We will only accept one response per member and we will only be contacting the first three whom respond with all the questions answered correctly.

We will not permit in any way members posting in the forums hints about the scavenger hunt questions. Anyone posting hints will be disqualified from the contest. In addition any question that has a hint posted will be tossed out of the contest. Once all three winners have been contacted we will post the answers to the questions in this same thread.

Admin and Advisors are not eligible for this contest.

Actually, the scavenger hunt was a great idea. I have had a lot of fun looking for all the items. Some are real simple, some are a little vague, and some you know you have seen the answer before but can't remember where now.

This is driving me insane.. I have no idea which 2 questions may be wrong.. then again I probably got more than 2 wrong.. Just to be safe I bought a calendar..[acronym:14381fecba="Laughing out loud"]LOL[/acronym:14381fecba].. Will the answers be posted once the hunt is finished?

Yes they will be posted once we have all three winners OR the end of the week which ever comes first. I had no idea this was going to be this difficult.
