Time change and how it affects you.
This is an informational post for everyone who is affected by the upcoming time change Sat night/Sun morning. If you live in a location that does not observe daylight savings time then you dont need to worry.
For all of us who do observe daylight savings time you will need to go into your profile and edit your timezone back 1 hour to reflect your new local time. This website does not take into account daylight savings time when it calculates the date/time stamp on messages. To edit your profile you should visit the home page of the site by clicking the "Home" link in the top menu. Then on the right you will see a "Welcome" block with the words "Welcome (your membername here)". If you look below that you will see a link that says "Update your profile". If you click on that link you will be able to select your new time zone by scrolling down toward the bottom. I will show you an example. If you live on the east cost you probably have your timezone set for -4 GMT right now to show the correct timestamp on your post. Once the time changes you will need to make this -5 GMT. Sorry for any confusion but this is something we only need to do twice a year if we want our time/date stamps to be correct on messages.
