no offence, but i feel sorry for those rasboras. Why not get a different fish that is made for a nano tank? Endlers would be great for that tank. Even a few shrimp but rasboras would really like space

Looking good. The Rasboras should do well in there. Good job. Then if you decide on a cleanup crew, a snail will work well. Or a single shrimp.

looks good. that moss seems to be growing extreamly slow for how much light u got over it. i would have thought that tank would be a mess of moss by now. the rasboras may need a bit more space then that tank has to offer. they are very active and may be limited in that tank. looks pretty sweet though. u should maybe think about a taller variety of that grassy plant at the back. i think it would look cool if the whole back wall was tall grass. just my opinion though

I'm not sure people get caught up on these rules for keeping fish. I don't see a problem adding some small fish and an oto for the tank, like the OP mentioned. I personally wouldnt have chosen the harelquins, as (from my experience, like more lengthwise open-space. Same holds true for cardinals. As long as you stuck to fish that don't require large open spaces, you'll be fine.

My first though, when I saw this post, was that it would be perfect for a male fancy guppy, an otocinclus, and six or so shrimp (ghosts, since they are the only ones the OP said he could get). The ratio of plant material : volume will certainly be adequate to give plently of O2 to the fish, filter the water, take up excess nutrients, detoxify heavy metals, etc.

I don't think you mentioned using filter media or not. If it were my tank, I would probably use a smaller filter, without media, simply for water movement. Why waste precious ammonia and nitrite (from fish waste) on nitrifying bacteria when it could be available for the plants to use?

I commend your effort. I love the tank, its design and simplicity. My only recommendation is to get fish that aren't such "open water" swimmers.

There are some really cool Rasbora's that stay under an inch. I'd recommend giving a pair of them a try instead if you really want fish in the tank, as the space would be much better suited to them. Ultimately I think a 2-4 small shrimp would be the best option for stocking.
