And here's another update 6 weeks after adding the new plants. Everything survived the move really well, although I haven't seen the shrimp lately (couldn't find them to net them). The Micranthemum Umbrosum needs some serious pruning and I've got at least one stem of the Rotala Rotundifolia that needs to be pruned and replanted. The Elatine Triandra has formed a realy nice carpet for me. Now that the Crypts are being shaded by the Rotala Rotundifolia they are looking much happier too.

After receiving some plants in the mail today, my tank has progressed from Jungle to Chaos. Here's some pics to prove it. There are a total of 14 species of plant currently in the tank. Collectoritis anyone?

The new plants include Rotala Rotundifolia "Colorata", Rotala sp "Goias", Rotala sp "Vietnam", and Ranuculus Papulentus. Thanks czcz!

Wow, you're going to have fun with that tankful Those are all great plants for a small tank. I'm anxious to see how things turn out. The plants look really healthy.

Here's the latest update at 8 months. I just finished trimming and moving a few plants to the newly upgraded 5.5 Gallon Standard. I'll probably be moving a few more, I just have to decide which ones.

EDIT

And here's a pic of one of the newest inhabitants. Chubbs, the Dwarf Puffer.

WOW! Your tank is AWESOME!

What lighting (hood type, bulb type/wattage) do you have on that??

If all goes well in my 5.5gal (BTW, is to be a puffer tank, man are they cute!) & 10gal tanks, i've thought about trying to plant my 2.5gal male betta tanks.

Thanks all!

NikiPike - Here's a link to the thread detailing the lighting for this tank including a pic of how it's setup. One of these days I'm going to get around to having a canopy built so the tank has a cleaner overall look to showcase the plants and inhabitants.
