Holes in the plants sounds more like a Potassium deficiency. The lack of CO2 would be more likely to cause a growth slowdown and algae outbreak.

Your plants will recover; don't be too hard on yourself. Very attractive layout. I love all the shapes behind and around the Nymphaea sp.

One great thing about plants is that you can mess up and then fix it without them dying .

And I really like your most recent aquascape. It has filled in very nicely.

What is the "grassy" plant in the foreground? Pygmy chain sword?

No, just chain sword that hasnt grown in yet. There are some quite large ones in there, but only a few

3 months on. I just did a heck of a prune. Not too happy with the photo, but I think you get the idea.

looks alot more "refined" and planned. The lighting gives it a shaded lake look, I like it.
