How do you hide the cables, cords, airlines, etc?
I am in the process of setting up my 72 gallon bowfront again. It will have a pH probe, 2 titanium heaters and their cords, power co2 reactor and airline, a cord for a undergravel heater, intake, and eheim spray bar. I have tried to figure out the best way to hide all this in order to improve the aethetics of the tank. Some ideas so far.
1. Plants, but it's hard to get that solid of a wall to hide everything. 2. Moss wall, but I dont' want to lose all that space. 3. Some sort of fake overflow with PVC or plexiglass through which I could run the cords. Any suggestions? |

I bought 4-foot of this for my 72-gallon:
http://www.thatpetplace.com/pet/prod...GroupKey=10497 There are other colors available as well. You basically sponge soapy water on the back of the tank, slide this backing on and then use a credit card to get all of the air out. Once it dries, bingo a solid color back without spray paint, tape, etc... You could also go with an inline heater (Hydor makes good ones), out the CO2 reactor in the outlet of your canister, etc. The only things I have in my tank are the inlets and outlets for the canisters.

I just use plants. I put everything in one corner and a bunch of plants in that corner. Some plants will do a good job at hiding all the equipment others might not. On my website LINK you can see how the plants grew in to hide all of the equipment - and there is a LOT of equipment in there.

I use black backgrounds and anything that isn't already black (spraybars, intakes, etc.), gets a coat or two of Krylon Fusion paint. It blends very well with the backgrounds. I've also switched over to Hydor ETH inline heaters in our larger tanks (58G, 55G, and 46G).
