I just joined this forum recently and thought I would share some pictures of my newest planted tank.
Equiptment:
- Juwel Vision 450 aquarium(450 litres) and stand
- 2 T5 48'' Globes
- Approximately 12 kg of Iron rich soil
- Approximately 10kg of Seachem Laterite
- 30 kg of fine 1-2mm black natural gravel
- Juwel filtration system
- 1400 liters per hour external filter( with UV light)
- 300W heater
Rock/Wood:
- 24'' Manzanita wood piece
- 36'' Manzanita wood piece
- 2 pieces of goldvine
- Approximately 10kg of large-small grey stones(don't know exact type)
Before Setup:
During setup:
This tank was setup in an office so I have a tarp down to prevent water from getting into the carpet
The following are me placing wood and rock before putting in the substrate.
Substrate:
Filling up:
After water cleared up a little:
I already have a few plants from my old tank including crypts, Anubias, sword plants and an aponogeton(possibly crispus, although leaves are too small at the moment to identify)
Recommendations and comments appreciated
