Thanks Dan.
I went from not having a foreground, to having too much in the foreground You are right, I never looked at my tank in size, but man does it look small. LOL I am lucky with my tap water, I guess. I have soft water and most of the more difficult species seem to enjoy it.

Finally got around to removing all the plant mass I had on the right side of my tank. It is still cloudy from removing and replanting.
Before: After: ![]() This is become more of a continuous change then anything else. Maybe some day I will be happy with it, but I doubt it. EDIT: added a better pic

This tank is developing wonderfully. I can hardly wait until the foreground finishes filling in. I think that it will really create an extra wonderful viewing experiance at that point.

I am torn ATM. I really like cramming all those species in my tank, but I know I need to add some hardscape to the tank. I have been sitting around just staring at the tank and coming up with idea's on a new layout. The thing is, the more hardscape I put in it, the more species I will have to remove.
I was trying to layer the plants and make a dutch style scape, but after looking at tank after tank on the internet, I think I am going to have to rescape the whole tank and work on the hardscape this time. I just don't know. I wish I had another 75 gallon tank to mock up and see what would look good. One dutch style and one Amano style. And I know, with all those plants crammed in there, you really can't see the difference between them. They need to be separated a little more. I have some really pretty plants and having them all so tightly planted makes them not stick out. Here are some pics that represent what I am talking about. Please excuse the dust algae on them. I didn't like the algae on sides of the tank, so I cleaned it off and the algae then plated out on my plants instead! Here is my Didiplis diandra: ![]() Here is a pic of the Ludwigia inclinata var. verticillata 'Cuba': ![]() Here is my Rotala wallichii: ![]() I really like these plants, but back to my addiction, I can't seem to limit the amount of plants I have in the tank and that makes these plants stand out less. I just don't know.

I simply love top-down shots like those. You really get to see how the plants are doing - and yours are outstanding! Very, very nice. You deserve major kudos for growing v inclinata Cuba and R. wallichii like that. Many don't realize how hard those two plants are to grow, and grow well. I just love to see big bushy stem plants. Extremely nice freakin' work man

Just a little update.
Here is a pic of the Ludwigia inclinata var. verticillata 'Cuba' ![]() Didiplis diandra ![]() Ludwigia brevipes and Tonina sp. 'Belem' ![]() Limnophila aromatica ![]() Bacopa sp. 'Colorata' ![]() One of my newest species, Riccia sp. 'Dwarf'. I have to figure out what I am going to do with it still. ![]() More new species: Polygonum sp. ‘Kawagoeanum’, Eleocharis acicularis, and a little Utricularia graminifolia. ![]() Whole tank ![]() Shift work does not do well for my tanks. Working 12 hours shifts and the 1 hour drive to work, leaves me very little time to tend to the tanks.
