    You look like you are nearing the end of your cycle. I don't know much abour FW, but do you have plants in there? I hear they can help reduce nitrAtes. If you do, that's probably why you aren't seeing them.

    my nitrates seem to be 0 my nitrites were holding steady at .5 now they are .25 idont knowim starting to get frustrated

    Has your nitrItes gone down? If so, you should start seeing nitrAtes come up. Do the PWC to remove the nitrAtes. Unless you are already doing PWCs, to keep the ammonia or nitrItes down, keep doing them (it will just take a little longer to finish the cycle).

    I have another question about cycling. Remember i was forced into cycling w/ fish i wouldnt of if i new better at the time. my reeading are as follows nitrite- .25, nitrate-0, ammonia-0 ph holding at 7.4 i have a 55 gallon with 1 rainbow shark 1 pictus, 4 barbs 2 opalines. the nitrite isnt moving and i have not done a water change in 4 days. am i on the right track?, should i just be more patient? oh yeah i feed them once a day sparingly. i also tested with Ai master test kit not dip stick test. help please
