for breeding discus you have to set up proper discus breeding environment. there are some rules to tell which is female or male...
The male discus will have thicker lips to aid him in his fight to protect the female, and male discus can become more aggressive. The male will be larger than the female, his forehead is thicker, and we have observed that if the discus are a bit shy, the male will have a tendency to stay between the female and the observer.
Moreover, we can distinguish the male and female discus by anus and the spine of the anal fin. Closer is female. (Near the anal fin). The anus of the female is boarder for the tube to deliver eggs.

so which type of discus fish you want to keep in your tank?juvenile discus or adult discus?generally the adult discus costs more but surely not the 257$. you should bargaining about this.an adult discus will cost max 60$ of 6 inch size. do you do this discus hobby for the 1st time? then i'll recommend you to keep juvenile discus.this can cost low. before introducing discus aquarium you should be careful about water. for more details keep in touch with me..you can visit my blog or PM me for any kind of help.you are always welcome here...

dude,i live in india.in india i can buy discus at a comparatively lower rate.the primary thing for selling discus is to check the health of fiscus fish.at the same time price is a factor.but 2574 is too much.i am sure that its cost is not much that.it may be somehow 70-80$ for 4-6 inch adult discus..i also have a blog about discus fish.here's the link...

Heya...just checked out your album. I have been dreaming about and doing research on setting up a discus tank. There is alot of good infor out there on how to set things up but alot of mixed info and warning info on buying discus from just any place. Have any opinions on where to find good healthy discus without spending a fortune. My local fish store that carries discus have palm size discuss for $257 which is a bit beyond my budget. I was shocked at the price, but not discouraged to one day own some of these lovely fish. Have any advice?
