    Thanks for the welcome DragonFish71.
I bought (my) our first aquarium two days ago for our twin girls 5th birthday. I'm really looking forward to the day I get to put fish in it after the water has come up to standard.
I've already had to change most of the water (110 litre) cause the driftwood I got in the pet store started turing the water brown so I decided to start again tonight!! I boiled the wood last night for 3 hours and that seems to have taken neary all of the TANNINS out of it. I have it in cold water still and changing it twice daily to make sure when I reintroduce it to my tank that the water doesn't go brown. The water is looking pretty clean tho.
I've also added API STRESS COAT & QUICK START to help me get the right water conditions. The pet shop told me bring in a sample of my water and they'll test it to see if it's up to standards before I purchase any fish.
Looking forward to my first purchase in hopefully 2 weeks.
    Cheers,
    Paul.
