Ya know , I don't remember how much LR I put in, I just looked and there are 4 pieces, each about 1.5 ( softball size) or so, so guessing I would say 5-6 pounds. I bought nice premium fiji cured LR , and set up the tank. put in some flake food - tested every day,no ammonia , waited a couple weeks and began adding corals slowly. All tests have come out good since. Hope that answers your question.
