    Hello,

I need advise on what to do about my fancy goldfish. Jlk refered you to me so I hope you can help. The problem I am having is that is face is swollen. Enough so that you can't see his eyes. I have been feeding him medi-gold for a week now. I have kept the temperature of the water at 68-70F. Doing fequent water changes to keep the ammonia levels down, which hasn't been higher then .25ppm. Also I have been given him salt treatments as well. He has also been suffering from fin rot. All the remedies above have improved his fin rot, but not the swelling.

I wanted to thank you for your advice you gave on and old thread about treating ich for goldfish. I followed your instructions and it seems my fish are doing quite well so far, only one is still looking bad but I think it'll recover soon enough.

Again, thanks for your post. It was very helpful.

Is that your beautiful fancy goldfish? What a beauty! I used to keep fancy goldfish and this picture really brings me back. I have tropical livebearers now Nice fish!

Thanks a lot for the advice. I will stick to 6 maximum, reduce to 5 when they get bigger, and down to 4 once the years have caught up to me until then I will stock ghost shrimp(which seem to survive fine in there surprisingly) and some danios (fewer than a dozen)of the small variety for more action in the tank.

hi, I've been asking in the chat, but no one has a clear answer. I want to keep 6 comet goldfish in a 300 gallon tank. Is that too many? It seems just about right to me.

I had been a mod for over a year now. I don't use the mod powers much, so it is just a tag attached to my name!
