I will post it there! Once the shrimp are in and settled of course. I think that there should be an inverts-only forum. I don't know why there isn't one, it would make a whole lot of sense, given the large percentage of posts in the freshwater fora that have to do with inverts of some kind.

Definitely, I agree, good luck with the search!

I understand your reasons, they make a lot of sense, but I always see my tanks as a work in progress, and I know that if I wait until I think they're perfect to add the fauna, then I would never have any fish or shrimp at all!

Have you tried looking on thedriftwoodstore.com? That's where I found the amazing piece of dw that I have in my 65g tank. He has some incredible stuff for a decent price and is a really nice guy, so I highly recommend it if you're sick of looking through your lfs. Be careful to check the measurements of the pieces, though, since scale is hard to judge in most of the pics.

I noticed the lack of small driftwood available when I was doing this build, too. I was lucky to find the one I did, even though I think it's a tad big for the tank. It's better than nothing. I don't know if you've seen Coursair's 5-10g tanks, but he/she has some nice driftwood in there.

Why are you waiting to add fish until you've got the plants up and running, wouldn't fauna waste help to feed the plants?

I was lucky to find an Edge and a 10g rimless on craigslist for something crazy like $50, so that's how I got mine. I don't think I would ever pay full price for one, though they are really cool looking. I just replaced the substrate this morning, I'll be posting new pictures in the thread once the water clears just a little.

Thanks, MABJ, I'm acutally in the middle of re-scaping it right now, replacing the substrate with something a little more plant-friendly, since I'm hoping to have it pretty heavily planted and add some cherry shrimp. Right now there's 4 CPDs and a sparkling gourami in there. The pic was from when it was just set up, so the baggie was from the HOB filter on my big tank seeding the good bacteria into the new Edge. I've read your thread on your nano tank, how's it coming?

i can make you a decent package for nice colorful low light plants and throw some baby RCS in there

    RCS juvies @ $0.75 each, or 6 for $4
    6 available

rotala indica @ $0.50 per stem or 7 for $3
    10 available

rotala rotundifolia @ $0.50 per stem or 7 for $3
    10 available

small jungle vals @ $0.75 each

I can do the max of each of those, 10, 10, 4, and 6 RCS for $28 shipped including tracking, breather bag, and free 10 hr heat pack. If you are some place cold, insulated box is $3 extra. Thanks
