Hi Kate - thank you so much for your kind words. Most of my older plants have come from local LFSs. If it's a common plant that I know is stocked I always try to go on delivery day where you can get the best of the bunch. Although most of the plants I wanted are aren't generally stocked. For example, every LFS stocks anubias but they won't generally stock anubias nana (the little version). So I'll ask them to order it in for me and then I go pick them up on the day that they arrive. I find you get better quality stock that way.
However the latest lot of plants have come from Aquagreen in the NT. They specialise in aquatic plants and lots of LFSs order from them, but they do sell retail. Dave is the guy who runs things there and he has a fantastic service that is very popular amongst aquarists. I bought may last three plants from him and they were beautiful and very well packed. They also have some excellent fertilisers that are australian-made, inexpensive and much hailed by people who know a lot more about this than I do. Their website is
