my domino damsel has a whitish spot above the gill
 
i just started the tank and i follow the advice of the store ppl to put the damsels in i have a yellow tail and a domino dark blue with white spots , i think it might be from fighting with the other damsel, could that be posible?

Sometimes white spots can be what is classified as ich.

is it contagious. would affect the quality of my water, would the other dasell will get it ?

i just got it out the tank he wasnt eating or being to active i looked at the spot was like a break in the skin .i put it in a bowl ,
