Overnight infestation

I'm just getting over a massive algae bloom, then I get up this morning and am amazed to see thousands of small white flea-looking critters munching on the algae in my tank. Wild! This was not like this 7hrs ago lol.

If this is a new tank it can be Isopods.

Fish food :). Probably copepods if it's a SW tank.

Or amphipods

Any chance you just didn't see them before? I've never had an overnight explosion of pods before, but that doesn't mean it doesn't happen.

I had an overnight explosion! They were all over the glass, then after a few days, I guess they found their places in the rock.

I really watch the tank, I get out my flash light and inspect the live rock, so I'm sure they were not there 8hrs before I took the pic. I mean they could have been somewhere unseen, but they all appeared at once
