Question about skimmer's

I have a Cyclone BAK-PAK 2 Bio-Filter..........this is the one with the bio-blade. Should I take the bio-blade out.? If I leave it in will it cause a problem.?

If your running a reef, then yes I would remove the biomedia, provided you have a minimum of 1-1.5 lbs/gallon of LR.

no reef, #40 lbs of live rock, 2 peppermit shrimp, few snails, and 3 Damsels. Should I leave the bio-blade in or take it out.? I had it in few a week and it was pretty loaded with junk

A SW tank with a large amount of LR and reef dwelling creatures (shrimp, snails, fish, or coral) is a reef IMO.

Well I guess its ok to take it out, the reason I took it out I was getting a lot of micro bubbles, I took it out just to see what happened.....and after I took the bio-blade out all the bubbles were gone........So if its now going to cause a problem I wondering if its ok to leave it out. I put a bag of
Marineland Black Diamond Carbon in the bio-blade chamber

Yes, fine to leave it out ;)
